I've been up since yesterday morning. The last meal I ate was around 5:30am - Cheerios (and not much of them because it was the last bit in the box). I think I'm hungry now. I may just get off the chair after 18 hours straight and go eat something.

Even McDonald's sounds good right about now.

today would be monday, july 4th for those of us in the western world anyway, and for my fellow yanks its a day for us all to booze up, clog our arteries with burgers, and blow our hands off with illegal fireworks :)

Me, I took the family camping to an international story telling festival in Wales for the weekend with my sister in law's family, and got to watch the faces of my daughters as they grew up just a bit more in front of my very eyes.

It was a lot cooler than perhaps it sounds, (and the beer tent had over forty different varieties to choose from, when I could slope off there).

Even the initial torrential rain couldn't spoil it.

And then I come back to all this. Hell I turn my back for a minute and what happens!

I will still be coming in here though. Gotta go.

Happy 4th of July to those for whom it is significant over the pond, oh yes and to my mum who was 80 today, and my father who would have been 85 (I think), also today.

Those illegal fireworks in my area are smuggled across the border from your area :p

Heh. This reminds me of a scene in "The Great Escape" where the two American POWs brew up some potato screech in a still, then go marching in front of all the Brits, fife and drum and serve them all a shot of the hooch on 4th of July.

Good scene, it reminds us how very patriotic Americans are.

Good for you guys. Cheers to you Yanks!

I called the pizza taxi for supper. My "family" was impressed. :D I now have heartburn. I should never eat onions on my burger along with an order of onion rings.

Anyone up for a holiday kiss?

Wow! I may never wash this cheek again!
Was it right or left cheek?

I like to keep the tone of threads in the gutter.
It's where I end up some Saturday nights.
Not happened for a while though.
I thinks I might be maturing.
If anyone believes that I'll tell you another.
