I have an ATI Radeon 9600SE. When I check it in the Catalyst it says
AGP not on.

I select the on option and then reboot but when I check it again it says it's off.

My motherboard and bios all have AGP capabilities and they both support 8x antialiasing but when I select them they won't stay on.

Any suggestions?

What CPU and motherboard do you have? Does the motherboard also have onboard graphics?

I have an AMD Athlon +2600 and an ABIT KV7 motherboard.

It does have integrated onboard graphics but I have it turned off in the bios.

Go to the SmartGART page of the ATI Catalyst program and hit the Retest All
button. If they stay off then the motherboard's versions of those features
weren't completely compatible, so look for an ABIT BIOS update.
