I just moved my virtual self from Downtown to the upper top side of Technutopia City. Wonderful view up here, I feel I can almost see that 'old' place where I spent many an hour. Seems I'll be here for a while, so I'll have my mail forwarded and not held!

That's a game I haven't played in a while. Monopoly and Risk next up on my list of board games to play.

If you'd like a taste, why not download the free Monopoly Deluxe game and play against AI characters. Some programmer wrote it, it's much better than the commercial version. The animations are lively and cute. One of the game's workings isn't intuitive though, so let me tell you how it works. When you click on a character, you see their properties (your own too of course). But before you can mortgage, buy buildings etc, you have to double-click on your character's icon. That brings up a small window in the centre of the board that lists your property. You click on the property(ies), then you go to the top of the window and select your action, like "Buy Buildings".

This little gem is free, it's not free-trial or anything. Get it here:

Have fun!

Wow that's an oldie! I think I have that on a 5.25" floppy somewhere. :D I'll try it out just to make sure, haven't played that version in the longest time but it is a good one.

That reminds me of this huge stack of old DOS games I used to play, but haven't touched in years because so many of them had problems making the transition to WinXP :(

I really like the old DOS games too. Although the graphics suck by today's standards, the games themselves were much more imaginitive and fun, each game was kind of somebody's hobby and they put a lot of thought into those old games. Now, it's all special effects. *sigh*

This one plays fine on XP, but you ought to right-click on the Poly.exe file --> Properties and make it compatible with Win 95.
