I had to google what stfu meant. I am going to let my colleagues decide whether the avy is offensive.

However, if you are asking whether or not if it is offensive, then it most likely is.

Man, I need to find some better pictures on the internet...

Not your best, I'd say.

Why not take a picture you like and play about in photoshop till you dig the results.

Hmm...I'll just go avatar-less until I find something good. I'm not much of a fan of using a picture of myself as an avatar.

I have found some interresting ones at

http://www.photocasket.com

My favorite one is a stick figure hanging from a noose and it says something about Bob stealing a cookie.

Enough acronyms with curse words in them. They're getting edited out.

Edit: I'm also editing the link out. You can put it in the dumpster if you want, but not here.

Looks good; is there a way for Mods to do this themselves or can only Admins do this?

Joel

As a Founding Member you can give yourself a custom title, but for some reason only Admins can format it with HTML, as yours needed to be. I've asked the vBulletin devs why, and they say it's for security reasons; that being HTML can be exploited by malicious users.

OK, thanks, I understood that as a Founding Member this was possible, and I remember from a thread a while back about you talking with the Devs as to why normal users cannot add html to their titles, but I wasn't sure how 'high up' I needed to be to be able to do this. Thanks!

You'd think they'd at least allow BB code in the custom titles...

Joel
03-14-2007, 12:12 AM
Yeah, it's pretty strange. vBulletin is very good but it still lacks the odd feature that really should be there.

I still like phpBB way more. vB just has to include friggin php code in its templating system. It's about 100 million headaches right there. The beta version of phpBB3 just pwns. Its totally awesome.
