Mmm... a nice glass of black coffee on my desk, just a little sugar (bout a spoonful). Oops, this is a tech forum.
So, what ya'll think about GTA: San Andreas and the Hot Coffee mod/scandle?

Load of hot air about nothing.
Anyway your too young to view.
I'd post a link for everyone to download and view
only the moral police would mod it away.
I'll send a link to anyone who PM's me.
Or sends to my fund.

Um, have you got the right link there, malvachat? When I clicked on it, I got hit with the pixel.nester.com spyware net and also thecounter.com spyware. I had to use my firewall to block these IPs:
199.72.44.105,64.157.165.239,66.35.229.183,64.152.73.209, and 63.236.73.248

:(Do you mean the wifes purse link?
That's just a joke,it shouldn't lead anywhere.
Just like wife's purse once money enters it,
it's dam hard to get it out of there.

Yep. That's the one. It leads to a spammer and trojan setter. I'll edit the link so it's not active, since it's a joke anyways. I'd also like to warn members, that even variations of "wifespurse" like wvw lead to the same zombie network. :(
Mal, you really should check out your links before posting them. This one was a pain in the neck.

That host name doesn't resolve by DNS.
Looks like you have an URL search parasite, B. Are you using IE?

…which is why it doesn't resolve by DNS, the same servers and software that run WHOIS. ;]

Well that's a pity.
Hope it's sorted for you now Beets,
and you wanted so much to donate.
You should know I don't understand all
that parasite talk.
Everybody already seen this GTA thing then?
It's not a big deal and I don't know what the fuss is about.

I think people are over reacting. The mod is the ONLY way to get the game to do that, which means it was not intended.
Hear about the lawsuit filed by an 80 something year old grandmother? She wouldn't have bought the game if she knew that was in it. Appariently the hookers, suggestive themes, guns, drugs, cop killing, murder, stealing cars, ect were ok.

I don't get it, what is Hot Coffee, other than something I use to wind myself up in the morning, afternoon, and inbetween?

Hot Coffee is a module that can be incorporated into the game (or is in the original game, I'm not sure which), GTA. It depicts an animated scene of a black man screwing a black woman. It's titillation for the teenagers, allowing them to feel they've snuck behind their parents backs to enjoy their own porno in a game. It's soft porn (obviously) and helps keep GTA offensive to adults and therefore in the Top 10 on the games market .
Elsewhere on these forums I've written how the pornography industry keeps expanding the boundries of what is "normal" and raking in the dollars with every push against the envelope.
Much ado about nothing, really, but it is very offensive to conservative parents who got duped into buying the game for their kids, I'm sure.

no parent gets Duped into buying this game,
They buy this game beacause they are too lazy to read the reviews before they buy it or they are stupid enough to allow little johnnys crys of "It's so unfair" to affect them. Stop blaming the porn industry for pushing the boundarys and start blaming the consumer for falling for it, All but 2 of the Computer Mags i buy have a Semi clad Woman on the front, she has nothing whatso ever to do with the magazine in is probably doing real damage to that graphics card she's licking but they know that the less clothes she wears the higher their circulation goes, when it goes down she will be gone and not before.

Computer Mags? Who're you kidding.
You buy them for the pictures, right?
I've heard about Compuporn, cyber. It's alright, we forgive you.

Hey, just remembered something. In the old-fashioned Victorian days, fathers used to take their sons to a whorehouse for their first "roll in the hay" with a professional prostitute.
Maybe there's a need out there for a visit to the "Best Lil Whorehouse in Cyberspace" game. A role-playing introduction to all the forms of sex and deviance. That's not going to be pornography, no Sir! It's going to be a virtual Educational program.
You fill out a reccomendation card after your visit, telling which girls you liked the best and which acts, and it gives you a sexual profile of yourself and suggests some helpful (sponsored) links to proceed with your preferences.
LOL

:rotfl: you're so funny!
What would we call this game of yours? I'm sort of partial to 'Sexcapades' or 'Sexucator' as names for that game. ;)

but one thing i'm wondering about, was it even possable for hot coffee to be put on the ps2 and xbox versions, and also... i saw some thought it was an addition, it was more of getting rid of a tool used to block it.
i wouldn't think rockstar games would be so blatently stupid as to do that.
i wonder if one of the worker added it in to sabatoge the progect, i'm sure microsoft woud have paid them hansomely...
