The first 100 people to join BearShare Expatriates will enjoy lifetime Founder status.
Founders will retain access to the full feature-set of the forums. This includes WYSIWYG editing, the ability to change Display Modes in threads (Linear, Threaded or Hybrid), use of Post Icons, and a few others I can't recall at the moment.
When some sort of rep/ranking system is implemented, Founders will have more benefits related to that system.
There may be other benefits when I have a moment to think about it, but the above is what you will have so far. Right now, everyone who has already joined is a Founder. There are 21 of you at the time I write this.
Those who join after the 100th member and before the 151st (101-150) member will start at a lower level of access, and work their way up to more permissions as time goes on. When they reach the point of gaining the same benefits as Founders, they will be known as Honorary Founders. When we have our first Honorary Founder, then the existing Founders will get their benefits boosted little, in order to keep it fair.
Anyone who joins after the 150th member (151-infinity) will only be able to reach a level slightly below Honorary Founders.
The above information is subject to minor changes (but only in the interest of fairness or improving the criteria), and more details may be added as the Administration fine-tunes the concept.
