LAN/Internet question

Well, my moms boyfriend will be moving in with us, and he is the IT guy at the largest group of car dealerships in the area. Anyhow, him and I both beat the hell out of our internet connections, both of us running half a dozen computers at any given time. So we've decided that we're going to run 2 or 3 internet connections into the house.

The problem is, we also want to be on the same LAN for online gaming/filesharing. How could we each have seperate internet connections but be on the same LAN?

Also, I'm not sure which network my mom will be on, but she also needs printer sharing and file sharing as well.

It's easy enough simply by using the TCP settings on each computer and using
your main computers as the gateways instead of trusting mere household
routers to carry the load. All you have to do to make your computer a
gateway is to add a second NIC dedicated to a modem and turn on Internet
Connection Sharing for that NIC only. Port forwarding is then as easy as
adding a rule to the Windows Firewall on the gateway. Don't worry about
conflicts with your existing firewall because it does work with them.

If you do have a router or two just use the hub ports to glue together your
LAN and leave the WAN port of each unused. If your modems are routers too,
hook them up to just your gateway computers and use them as strictly
modems. Manually set the IP address of each computer in the house so you
can keep track of them, and then have your computers use your gateway and
his computers use his gateway. That's how you can have more than one
internet connection on the same LAN without any conflicts.
